Coverage: 70 active published awards; 15 bid reports (which may be per lot). Supplier values exclude multi-supplier awards, frameworks and DPS, and use GBP only. They are published award values, not payments. Published-to-award variance compares single-lot, single-award, single-supplier GBP procedures with explicitly non-framework/non-DPS status; increases remain in the average. Unpublished data stays unknown. Awarded suppliers are winners, not all bidders.

What is being bought
The Metropolitan Police Service (MPS) is seeking to engage the market to inform the development of a solution for the secure disposal of criminal exhibit digital media, including but not limited to mobile phones, hard drives, and USB storage devices. This pre-procurement activity is intended to assess supplier capability and capacity to deliver a service that meets the operational, security, and compliance requirements associated with handling sensitive evidential material.
There is a need to establish a structured, scalable, and repeatable service model to support ongoing disposal activity of 2.9m+ criminal exhibits (current stock holding). The anticipated requirement will include but not limited to the secure collection, transportation, and destruction of digital storage media, with a strong emphasis on data irretrievability and evidential integrity.
