About Tenderline
Tenderline is a UK procurement intelligence company. Its public platform turns official open procurement data into the read a bid team actually needs: every live tender and planning notice, every contracting authority and awarded supplier, and on each page the competition context that a notice never gives you — who you are likely to meet, how awards land against the published estimate, who usually wins, which contracts are ending and which similar opportunities are open right now. The public platform is where we start, not what we are.
Who runs Tenderline
Tenderline is developed and operated by Vivid Analytics Ltd, a private limited company registered in England and Wales, company number 16555468, incorporated on 2 July 2025. Its registered office is 58 New Bedford Road, Luton, Bedfordshire, LU1 1SH, United Kingdom. The company's registered activities are software development, IT consultancy and data processing; its filings are public at Companies House.
The platform is built by a team with long hands-on experience of running and bidding for public tenders on both sides of the table. That is why the numbers are organised around the decisions a bid team actually makes — is this contest worth entering, who will I meet, where do awards land against the estimate, when does the incumbent's contract end — rather than around the shape of the source data.
What the platform adds
Official notices are the raw material, not the product. Tenderline compiles them per procedure, resolves organisations into one profile each (whatever a notice called them), keeps lots as the unit of competition and awards as the unit of money, and then computes what a bid manager asks first: how many bids a lot usually draws here, how awards compared with the published estimate, who wins in this market, when the incumbent's contract ends, and which live notices resemble this one. Search by keyword, sector, region or portal; open any notice for its evaluation weights, the submission route and the authority's track record.
Every computed figure carries an that says how it was arrived at and what that page's own sample was; the counting rules are public on the methodology page. Where the evidence is thin, a figure is muted or withheld rather than invented. The public platform needs no account.
Where Tenderline is going
The public platform is the open layer of a procurement-intelligence business, built first because trust has to be earned in public. We are expanding the record beyond Find a Tender — Contracts Finder, the devolved portals and commercial e-sourcing streams — and building decision support for the teams who bid: alerts and qualification, document and requirement analysis, partner integrations, and AI assistance in preparing and writing bids. Buyer-side products and a place where public work is sourced, not only found, are on the same road. What is live is on the site; what is not is described here in the future tense on purpose.
Editorial principles
- Independent. Not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated on behalf of the Cabinet Office, Find a Tender, any contracting authority, e-sourcing portal or supplier.
- Nobody pays to appear, rank or disappear. Authority and supplier profiles are generated from the public record alone; rankings follow the published rules, not commercial relationships.
- Source first. Every page links to the official notice it was built from, and a figure is never more precise than what the notice published.
- Units are never blended. Procedures, lots and awards are counted apart; frameworks and dynamic markets apart from contracts; a ceiling is never presented as a price.
- Facts, derived figures and model scores are labelled as such, with their window and sample size next to them.
- Corrections are made in the open. A wrong projection is fixed at the projection and noted; the official notice is never altered.
Where the data comes from
All facts derive from official Find a Tender notices published as OCDS releases under the Open Government Licence v3.0. Crown copyright applies to the notice data. Notices are synced continuously, recompiled per procedure as amendments and awards arrive, and analytical projections are rebuilt daily. Below-threshold notices published only on Contracts Finder are not in the catalogue yet.
On top of the record Tenderline adds structure, links and derived intelligence. It does not create or verify information that is absent or wrong at source: a value, date or supplier name is what the contracting authority published, normalised but not invented.
What Tenderline does not do
- Publish personal data of buyers' or suppliers' staff: named officers, personal mailboxes and mobile numbers are stripped even when a notice carries them; only an organisation's role mailbox, switchboard and website are shown, as published.
- Recommend a price, predict a winner, or score anyone's reliability, credit or payment behaviour.
- Sell placement, rankings or removal, or run advertising against profiles.
- Present a framework ceiling as money spent, or blend lots, procedures and awards into one number.
- Infer a legal regime that the notice does not itself declare.

Corrections policy
If a figure or a record looks wrong, write to [email protected] with the page URL and, where possible, the notice reference. We recheck against the source notice within a few working days and, where the catalogue is at fault, correct the projection and note the change on the affected page. We cannot alter an official notice; corrections to the notice itself belong with the contracting authority that published it.
Authorities and suppliers who want their profile reviewed — a merged organisation, a renamed body, a duplicate registration, a mis-attributed award — can use the same address. Profiles are never removed because a figure is unflattering; they are corrected when a fact is wrong.
