The contract covers the implementation and support of additional SOROS modules and functionality to improve fleet maintenance, engineering and operational management activities. Enhancements include depot mapping, digital train preparation, incident management, engineering change control, fleet modification tracking and train software configuration management.
The services will support the digital transformation of fleet and depot operations, improve data visibility, enhance operational efficiency and provide a centralised platform for the management of engineering and operational processes.

The contract relates to the enhancement and expansion of c2c's existing SOROS platform, which supports fleet, engineering and operational activities. The proposed services involve the continued use and development of the incumbent system, including the implementation of additional functionality and modules that integrate with the existing SOROS environment. A change of supplier would risk significant operational disruption, duplication of costs and integration challenges associated with replacing an established business-critical system.
- Risks
c2c requirements may change as a result of the transition to Great British Railways (GBR), which is currently expected to conclude in Q3 2027.
The contract therefore includes flexibility to accommodate future operational and organisational requirements, should these arise during the contract term.
