What is being bought
Scotland's Railway Surfacing Framework between Network Rail and one Contractor will deliver surfacing works across Scotland's Railway. The Contractor shall be required to respond to call outs within the below timescales: Urgent Response: Attend within 24 hours of Instruction Route Maintenance: Attend within 7 days of Instruction Programmed: As stated in Contract Order Key activities include for but are not limited to: • Surfacing Works • Platform cope and associated works • Minor drainage works in connection with surfacing works • Minor civil engineering works • Booking of possessions and road closures These works consist of inspection, maintenance, repair, partial or whole renewal to parts of the following categories of assets: • Station platforms • Works to carparks, footpaths and hard standings • Works to other associated Client’s or TOC property The framework shall have no committed spend however, it is estimated that there shall be approximately £39 million (including options and headroom) worth of works awarded via this contract over the lifespan of the framework.
