Immediate continuity of NHS 111‑2 call handling, triage and clinical assessment capacity was required to maintain safe access for patients and to support system flow across urgent and emergency care services. The contract enables the continued delivery of the BSW 111‑2 Service, including initial call handling, safety checks, high‑level triage, digital case recording, and transfer of cases to the AWP BSW Mental Health Clinical Assessment Service (MHCAS) for clinical review and onward assessment.
