Severn Trent Water Limited is contracting for the provision of wastewater design automation software.

The contract provides a commercial, off the shelf SaaS platform capable of automating preliminary engineering design for water and wastewater treatment infrastructure. The solution will support end to end early stage design, enabling Severn Trent Water's internal engineering teams to rapidly produce, compare, and govern multiple design options using embedded engineering standards, deterministic design logic, and auditable outputs.

The platform is required to be immediately deployable, without custom development, and capable of producing design grade, structured engineering data suitable for downstream modelling, costing, and governance processes.

Following preliminary market engagement, no suitable alternative supplier was identified that could meet the mandatory requirements for a proven SaaS design automation platform for water and wastewater treatment assets. Severn Trent therefore considers that, due to an absence of competition for technical reasons, only Transcend Software Inc can supply the required services and there is no reasonable alternative.
