    "description": "The Authority is looking for two 2 Suppliers to deliver the following as part of the Service:\na. conduct further investigation and prepare cases for Fitness to Practise hearings or meetings;\nb. undertake pre-hearing case management procedures in accordance with agreed performance targets and in collaboration with other parties to the hearing; and\nc. ensure the presentation of cases before adjudicators at hearings (those hearings are predominantly carried out remotely using video conferencing software but can, on occasion, be in-person at our offices in Sheffield).\nOver a period of 3 - 5 years, the Authority aims to work with the Suppliers to eliminate the current backlog of circa 400 cases awaiting a final hearing. By the end of this period, the intention is to have worked successfully in partnership with the Suppliers to both eliminate the backlog and to be managing a 'steady state' of circa 150 cases being processed per annum.\nThis contract has a maximum value of £40.9 million. Contract 1 and Contact 2 notice values of £20.45 million, represents an estimated allocation and is provided for indicative purposes only.",

    "description": "Introduction - Fitness to Practise\nSocial Work England are looking for two Suppliers to deliver the following aims: \n1.\tConducting further investigation and preparing cases for Fitness to Practise hearings or meetings.\n2.\tUndertaking pre-hearing case management procedures in accordance with agreed performance targets and in collaboration with other parties to the hearing.\nWe are looking for up to two Suppliers to prepare cases for Fitness to Practise hearings or meetings and to ensure the presentation of cases before a panel of independent adjudicators. \nAs part of our duty to protect the public, if a social worker falls seriously short of the   standards expected of them, we can either remove them from the register or restrict what they can do professionally. These powers, given to us by Parliament, cover all registered social workers across both child, family and adult social care.\nA social workers' fitness to practise may be found impaired for a number of reasons, including but not limited to:\n•\tConduct\n•\tCompetence\n•\tHealth\n•\tCaution, Conviction or determination by another regulator\n•\tNot having the necessary knowledge of English\nWhen a service user, member of the public, employers or other public body has a concern about the standard of a social worker's practise, they can raise this with Social Work England.\nWe will undertake to investigate serious matters which may pose a risk to public protection or public confidence in the profession and take action to restrict a social worker's practice in circumstances where it is necessary to do so.\nThe successful Bidders will prepare cases for a fitness to practise hearings or meetings and to present cases before Social Work England's adjudicators.",

    "description": "Introduction - Fitness to Practise\nAs part of our duty to protect the public, if a social worker falls seriously short of the   standards expected of them, we can either remove them from the register or restrict what they can do professionally. These powers, given to us by Parliament, cover all registered social workers across both child, family and adult social care. \nA social workers' fitness to practise may be found impaired for a number of reasons, including but not limited to:\n•\tConduct\n•\tCompetence\n•\tHealth\n•\tCaution, Conviction or determination by another regulator\n•\tNot having the necessary knowledge of English \nWhen a service user, member of the public, employers or other public body has a concern about the standard of a social worker's practise, they can raise this with Social Work England. \nWe will undertake to investigate serious matters which may pose a risk to public protection or public confidence in the profession and take action to restrict a social worker's practice in circumstances where it is necessary to do so.  \nThe successful Bidder/s will prepare cases for a fitness to practise hearings or meetings and to present cases before Social Work England's adjudicators.",
