Publisher note: Highlands and Islands Airports Limited (HIAL) is undertaking a market engagement exercise in advance of any future procurement relating to the replacement of the Primary Surveillance Radar (PSR) at Sumburgh Airport. Interested suppliers are invited to complete and return the accompanying Request for Information (RFI). The purpose of the RFI is to obtain information on supplier capability, indicative costs, delivery timescales, support arrangements, technical considerations, project risks and wider market intelligence relevant to the proposed requirement. The information gathered will be used to inform HIAL's procurement strategy, project planning and business case assumptions. This market engagement exercise is for information-gathering purposes only and does not constitute a call for competition, pre-qualification exercise or formal invitation to tender. Participation is entirely voluntary and will not confer any advantage or disadvantage in any future procurement process. HIAL welcomes responses from suppliers with demonstrable experience in the design, manufacture, supply, installation and support of airport Primary Surveillance Radar systems and associated infrastructure.
