Coverage: 63 active published awards; 62 bid reports (which may be per lot). Supplier values exclude multi-supplier awards, frameworks and DPS, and use GBP only. They are published award values, not payments. Price reduction compares single-lot, single-award, single-supplier GBP procedures with explicitly non-framework/non-DPS status; increases remain in the average. Unpublished data stays unknown. Awarded suppliers are winners, not all bidders.

What is being bought
The development of a Good Neighbours Scheme will build on community and neighourhood work that already exists. Using an app and working with volunteers and a referral system, people in need will receive support such as shopping, picking up prescriptions and other small tasks such as DIY, gardening or just someone who checks in for a chat, reading or writing letters. Such activities can have a huge positive impact on a person's health and wellbeing and their ability to remain at home, perhaps with a long term condition or to return home after sickness or an episode in hospital.

Procedure rationaleVolunteering Matters is currently delivering the Volunteer Support Infrastructure contract which includes the Volunteer Passport Scheme. They have established links and relationships with VCSE partners and understand the need in the city and how the Good Neighbours Scheme can be delivered to maximise impact by recruiting, supporting, training then placing volunteers to undertake simple/daily tasks in our neighbourhood areas: North, East, Inner West, Outer West. |
