Hire of Plant and Equipment – Leeds Building Services

Leeds City Council’s Leeds Building Services is looking into a potential procurement option to appoint suitably qualified and experienced organisations to a framework for the hire of plant and equipment.

The proposal is to establish a framework for the hire of plant and equipment. The framework will be split into 4 lots. The approximate annual spend has been included for each lot as a guide, although these figures are not guaranteed and are subject to change:

Lot 1 - Large Plant (approx. £35k per annum)

Lot 2 - Small Plant and Electrical (approx.£70k annum)

Lot 3 - Welfare (approx.£100k per annum)

Lot 4 - Scaffold (approx. £30k per annum)

It is our intention to appoint up to 2 suppliers on each lot to ensure that we have a have a continuous service throughout the term of the contract.

The framework will run for 3 years and will have the option to extend for one further period of 12 months. The estimated expenditure is up to £235k per annum or £940k over the life of the contract including the extension.
