The modification provides for additional Apollo V3 design, development, testing and deployment activities required to support the continued implementation of the Apollo Mobility Solution across Northern Gas Networks.
The additional services include solution design, software development, configuration, deployment support, integration activities and associated technical services necessary to deliver the Apollo V3 programme and maintain compatibility with existing Apollo, AWS and operational technology environments.
The modification increases the contract value by £150,000 (excluding VAT). The additional services are technically linked to the existing solution and are required to ensure continuity, interoperability and successful delivery of the Apollo V3 implementation.

- Change The modification provides additional Apollo V3 design, configuration, testing, deployment and associated technical services required to deliver the next phase of the Apollo Mobility Solution. The additional services support the continued development and implementation of the existing Apollo platform and associated infrastructure. The modification includes additional design and deployment activities necessary to maintain compatibility and interoperability with the existing Apollo solution, AWS-hosted environment and associated operational systems. This modification increases the contract value by £150,000 (excluding VAT). The overall nature of the contract remains unchanged., Need for additional works, services or supplies by the original contractor/concessionaire: The additional services are required from the existing contractor, Brand Communications Ltd, due to technical and economic reasons associated with the Apollo Mobility Solution and its integration with Northern Gas Networks' existing operational environment. The Apollo platform is a live business-critical solution that has been developed, configured and integrated by Brand Communications Ltd within Northern Gas Networks' operational technology estate, including associated AWS-hosted infrastructure, mobility services and interfaces with existing operational systems. The additional V3 design, configuration, testing and deployment activities are directly connected to the existing solution architecture and require specialist knowledge of the current platform, configurations and integrations. Changing contractor for these additional services would not be possible without significant technical difficulties, substantial duplication of cost and increased delivery risk. Appointment of an alternative supplier would require extensive knowledge transfer, redevelopment and validation activities, re-establishment of technical baselines, and potentially the redesign of elements of the existing solution. This would result in additional cost, programme delay and potential disruption to ongoing delivery of the Apollo V3 implementation. Accordingly, Northern Gas Networks considers that the additional services can only be provided effectively by the existing contractor and that a change of contractor cannot be made for technical and economic reasons without causing significant inconvenience and substantial duplication of cost.
