Transport for Wales and Transport for Wales Rail is seeking expressions of interest from organisations wishing to participate in the Public Transport Summit 2027 at Swansea Arena on 16–17 June 2027. Opportunities include sponsorship, exhibition space, innovation participation and attendance. This is a market engagement exercise only and not a procurement or call for competition. 1. Overview Transport for Wales (TfW) is undertaking a market engagement exercise to invite expressions of interest from organisations wishing to participate in the TfW Public Transport Summit 2027 Taking place on: Date: 16–17 June 2027 Venue: Swansea Arena This notice is issued to ensure an open, fair and transparent approach to engaging the transport market and wider stakeholders. This is not a procurement exercise and does not constitute a call for competition. It is a pre-market engagement activity only, intended to inform event planning and gauge interest in participation. 2. Background Following the success of the inaugural Public Transport Summit held in Wrexham, Transport for Wales is pleased to confirm that the Summit will return in June 2027. The Summit will bring together transport leaders, policymakers, industry experts, and stakeholders to engage in strategic discussions on the future of public transport across Wales and the Borders. The event will focus on: • Connecting ideas • Moving people and communities • Shaping the future of public transport Transport for Wales is continuing to transform public transport services and infrastructure. The Summit provides a platform to build on this momentum and support future investment, integration and innovation across the network. 3. Purpose of the Summit The Summit will provide an opportunity for the public, private and third sectors to: • Collaborate on the future of transport in Wales and the Borders • Share strategic visions and priorities • Support integrated transport development • Drive wider economic and social impact for communities The event will include: • Themed panel discussions • Keynote speeches • Workshops • Exhibition and innovation space • Networking opportunities 4. Summit Themes The 2027 Summit will focus on the following key themes: • Connectivity – Building economic and social impact through connectivity • Integration – Bus franchising • Future Investment • Safety, accessibility and inclusion • Sustainability and innovation. Opportunities for Participation TfW is seeking expressions of interest across the following participation and sponsorship categories: Sponsorship Categories • Headline Partner – 1 partner (~£40k–50k) • Official Partners – 5 partners (~£20k–25k each), aligned to Summit themes • Official Exhibitors – c.12 organisations (~£7.5k each) • Official Supporters – c.10 organisations (~£3k–5k each) • Innovation Lab Participants – c.12 organisations (~£1.5k–2k each) • VIP Dinner Sponsor – 1 partner (~£10k–15k) • Welcome Drinks Sponsor – 1 partner (~£5k) • Ticket Only Attendance – 2 days (~£300 Private Sector £240 Public Sector) VCSE Participation Transport for Wales is committed to inclusive participation and intends to offer: • An allocated amount of free tickets for VCSE (Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise) organisations to attend Organisations requesting a free place must: • Confirm their VCSE status as part of their response
