What is being bought
Published requirement descriptionContract Award Notice for the appointment of the Supplier to provide Electric Vehicle Charging Infrastructure within the Conwy County area. The term of the contract period will be for 10 years with an option to extend 3 years.
- The authority expects to re-tender this requirement around 10 Aug 2038, 23:59 BST.
- No preliminary market engagement: Conwy County Borough Council has not undertaken any preliminary engagement with market suppliers. However it has sought advice from other Local Authorities who have undertaken a similar procurement process recently. This provided officers with an enhanced understanding of the market, firmed up the tender requirements, award criteria and the procurement procedure. In addition, authority officers attended an Electric Vehicle conference in Bangor, Gwynedd held by Transport for Wales on 19th November 2024.

- Quality Evaluation Criteria: Written submission = 50% The quality questions will ask for information on a service delivery plan, health and safety considerations, technical specifications, compliance with Welsh Government Strategy, ethical procurement and sustainability and equality considerations (e.g. accessibility, bilingual support). Presentation = 20% All tenderers will be required to present on the topic : ‘How would you propose to help Conwy County Borough Council deliver its EV charge point strategy?’
- Price: The price schedule asks suppliers to provide the income share (as a percentage term) that they would offer the Council (based on the income generated from usage of the Charge points).
