Coverage: 49 active published awards; 13 bid reports (which may be per lot). Supplier values exclude multi-supplier awards, frameworks and DPS, and use GBP only. They are published award values, not payments. Published-to-award variance compares single-lot, single-award, single-supplier GBP procedures with explicitly non-framework/non-DPS status; increases remain in the average. Unpublished data stays unknown. Awarded suppliers are winners, not all bidders.

What is being bought
Medway Council commissions placements for older people (Aged 65+) who require residential or nursing care. Before commencing a procurement process, we are conducting a review of the service specification and the banding structure to better reflect individual levels of need, rather than diagnostic categories such as dementia. A market event was previously held on 29 April 2025. This request for information (RFI) seeks additional feedback from the market to help shape a future commissioning model that is responsive, equitable and outcome focused. The RFI must be downloaded from the Delta tendering portal. This notice and associated documentation is not a call for competition. The Proposed Banding Structure: Details of the proposed banding structure can be found in Appendix 2. Please download from the Delta tendering portal. Response required from providers: We invite you to review the attached banding structure (Appendix 2) and respond to the questions provided in Appendix 1. Please download from the Delta tendering portal. Important notes: This RFI document is for the sole purpose of consulting the market and therefore the Council does not require providers to submit tenders / bids at this stage. Any information provided will be treated in confidence. All responses (i.e. the completed Appendix 1) must be sent to the following email address - adults.commissioning@medway.gov.uk by 3:00pm, 26 November 2025.
