- Why no open competition
- Single Suppliers Technical Reasons; Additional Repeat Extension Partial Replacement
- Published justification
- GATLs existing Octave Attune EAM solution is supplied by Intergraph (UK) Limited. Its integration, web-service and data-movement capabilities support controlled exchange of relevant information with connected corporate, operational, reporting and engineering systems, including third-parties: leasing companies, manufacturers and maintainers. Loss of access would result in extreme disruption to the operation of passenger services. Replacement by an alternative supplier would require the redevelopment and revalidation of multiple interfaces and integrations across stations, rolling stock, and operational control environments. This would involve significant cost, resource requirements, technical risk, and potential disruption to critical passenger information services.
