Coverage: 21 active published awards; 12 bid reports (which may be per lot). Supplier values exclude multi-supplier awards, frameworks and DPS, and use GBP only. They are published award values, not payments. Published-to-award variance compares single-lot, single-award, single-supplier GBP procedures with explicitly non-framework/non-DPS status; increases remain in the average. Unpublished data stays unknown. Awarded suppliers are winners, not all bidders.

Planning and rationale

No-engagement rationaleNot published |
Procedure rationaleThe contracted provider of the services notified the local authorities involved in the existing contract that they were going into administration in February 2021 and therefore could no longer provide the services with immediate effect.
The local authorities have a statutory duty to collect and dispose of refuse and therefore an alternative provider needed to be appointed with immediate effect. Various organisations
were approached and the appointed provider had capacity for the waste and represented
value for money.
Contract Period 1 April 2021 - 31 March 2022. A new procurement process will be commenced within the next 12 months. |
