Network Rail/Great British Railways Facilities Management Preliminary Market Engagement

Network Rail is undertaking a programme of pre-market engagement to help inform the future strategy for Facilities Management (FM) services across the railway sector.

As part of this engagement, we are seeking views from the FM market on a range of strategic, commercial and operational considerations. We are keen to understand current market capability, emerging industry trends, innovative delivery approaches, and supplier perspectives on how Facilities Management services can best be delivered across a large, diverse and geographically dispersed estate.

We welcome participation from suppliers across the FM market, including organisations with experience in complex, multi-site environments, critical national infrastructure, public sector estates, transport operations, and other relevant sectors.

Network Rail is undertaking this engagement in accordance with the principles of transparency, fairness and proportionality. Information obtained through this exercise may be used to help inform future procurement decisions, requirements development, lotting strategies, commercial structures and contracting approaches.

Any contract commencement and expiry dates referenced as part of this engagement are indicative only and remain subject to change. Current assumptions are based on Network Rail exercising the remaining extension options available under its existing Integrated Facilities Management (IFM) contract. Should Network Rail decide not to utilise some or all of those extension options, it reserves the right to bring forward any future procurement activity and associated contract commencement dates at its sole discretion.
