Nature Based Solutions - Water Utilities - Treatment

The purpose of this PIN is for market evaluation only and is not a call for competition. Severn Trent Water (STW) are investigating the market for nature-based treatment solutions, including but not limited to: wetlands, reactive media, algae bioreactors and catchment management. STW are particularly interested in solutions not yet identified, so encourage the involvement of parties who can contribute with additional or innovative solutions. STW recognises the speciality of nature-based treatment solutions and to this end wish to understand from potential delivery partners the following considerations: existing and novel nature-based treatment solutions; experience and outcomes of previous projects involving the design, construction or goods supply to nature-based treatment solutions; current business capability and proprietary expertise relating to nature-based treatment solutions; current capacity for delivery of nature-based treatment projects; best practice delivery models to minimise risk and maximise success. STW places great emphasis on the role of the supply chain to deliver its business needs. For this reason, STW intends to engage interactively with potential delivery partners during the period of 14th February to 4th March 2022, in a format to be advised upon assessment of responses to this PIN, to gain feedback on the considerations detailed above. Involvement in any supplier engagement activity is strictly by registration no later than 12:00PM on 9th February 2022. Registered organisations will be informed of the format and specific timing of engagement sessions once the above registration deadline has passed. Any request for involvement received after the deadline may not be considered, at the sole discretion of the Utilities. STW reserves the right to publish any materials shared or discussed during supplier engagement. If you are not comfortable sharing information in open discussions or with your information being shared by STW with other suppliers, then you must state this through the registration form. Please be advised that any inability to share information may mean that STW has to exclude you from any resultant procurement process to avoid any unfair advantage. STW reserves the right to cancel the supplier engagement process if there is little or no participation up take. Should a supplier engagement event be determined as the format of engagement then arrangements shall be confirmed, and a list of attendee organisations will be published prior to the event, any request to be excluded from this list must submitted with your registration. Following the supplier engagement process STW may, at its discretion, conduct a formal procurement exercise. Please note that there will be no obligation on STW to launch such an exercise nor does participation in this supplier engagement process guarantee STW will enter into any contractual relationship with any individual companies.
