What is being bought

Network Rail is undertaking a Decarbonisation and Energy Efficiency Programme across a wide range of built assets in all UK regions. This project is part of Network Rail’s commitment to the Government’s Road to Zero strategy, aiming to achieve zero carbon emissions through the transition to cleaner and more sustainable energy sources.
