What is being bought
Published requirement descriptionTransport for London (TfL) is commencing a procurement process to appoint a supplier to deliver the requirements of Design and Build Elizabeth line, Canary Wharf Bostwick Gates Replacement.
The works are described in the procurement documents and cover the following main activities:
- removal of the three (3) faulty gates for the Northwest, Southeast and Southwest main entrances
- develop the design to replace Northwest, Southeast and Southwest main entrances gates with similar, manually operated, traditional Bostwick SR2 style gates.
- construction and installation of the new Northwest, Southeast and Southwest main entrances gates.
The Railway Industry Supplier Qualification Scheme (RISQS) will be used to identify the potential suppliers and produce the supplier's list. In order to do that the following Railway Industry Commodity Classification List (RICCL) codes will be selected:
C.C.3.4.7.5: Boundary Gates: Construction, Design, Dispose, Install, Modify, Supply
C.D.1.3: Steel Frame: Construction, Design, Install, Modify, Supply
Network Rail and London Underground/ Docklands Light Railway infrastructures previous experience required.
No further expression of interest will be considered from 4 July 2025.
Qualification is exclusively via RISQS under the RICCL codes stated above and the Network Rail and London Underground infrastructure requirements. Only suppliers pre-qualified under RISQS will be invited to tender.

Lot awarding rule: Based on Most Advantageous Tender. Tenders will be assessed on Technical and Commercial criteria relating to the subject matter of the contract in the following weighting ratio: Technical 60% : Commercial 40%. Details on the award criteria will be provided within the ITT Pack.

This procurement process is being conducted electronically on the e-Tendering portal SAP Ariba. The portal can be accessed via the following link:

(3) Upon completion of steps 1 and/or 2, interested parties must inform [email protected] with the following details:
- your organisation name as registered in SAP Ariba;
- your applicable supplier ID associated with TfL in SAP Ariba, in the form of SM Vendor ID, ERP ID, AN ID or ACM ID;
- your single point of contact registered on SAP Ariba; first name and surname;
- your email address registered with SAP Ariba; and
- your role in the organisation as registered with SAP Ariba;
Completion of these steps will enable TfL to invite interested parties to the ITT event in SAP Ariba to gain access to the procurement documents, allowing interested bidders to submit their ITT response via SAP Ariba.

Tenders must read the instructions carefully before proceeding with registration and are advised to satisfy themselves that they understand all the requirements of the procurement and terms of the contract and the rules of the procurement process before submitting their tender response.
