WYFRS is the fourth largest Fire and Rescue Service in the country serving a diverse population of 2.2 million people across 800 square miles. WYFRS serves a population of more than two million people, spread over almost 800 square miles, providing emergency cover 24-hours a day, every day of the year.At this time, WYFRS would like to understand the markets interest and its capacity to bid and deliver the above contract. A brief, but non-exhaustive list of the key requirements are as follows: Change type of existing room/space/building within a current WYFRS location into a functioning data centre. This may include but not limited to the following - building works including refurbishment covering all aspects of a business environment. The ability to install Aircon, UPS, generator, electrical, flooring and ceiling. Be able to make good, and complete the data centre install with standardised racking, forced air cooling or equivalent for efficiency purposes. Turning an existing space into a small data centre housing at least 6 data cabinets. Potential requirement for on going support.The contract will be awarded up to a 10-year period. The exact details shall be confirmed alongside with all other information within the contract notice & tender documentation.The procurement pathway and delivery timescales are yet to be determined.
