Published requirement description

The South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust, acting on behalf of the Southern Ambulance Services Collaborative (SASC), is seeking to establish a single-supplier Closed Framework Agreement for the supply and delivery of ambulance workshop consumables and associated goods to support the maintenance, repair and operational readiness of ambulance fleet vehicles across participating NHS ambulance trusts. The framework is intended for use by South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust (SWAST), South East Coast Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust (SECAmb), London Ambulance Service NHS Trust (LAS), East of England Ambulance Service NHS Trust (EEAST) and South Central Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust (SCAS).

The framework will cover a broad range of workshop consumables and associated products including, but not limited to:

Workshop chemicals, cleaners, degreasers and maintenance products, ect.

  • Not divided into lots: The Contracting Authority has considered whether to divide this procurement into lots and has concluded that lotting would not deliver the most advantageous outcome. The requirement is for a single, standardised supply solution covering ambulance workshop consumables and associated goods across all participating ambulance trusts and workshop locations.
  • The authority expects to re-tender this requirement around 1 Feb 2031, 23:59 GMT.

CPV: Accumulators, primary cells and primary batteries · Electrical materials · Fasteners · Greases and lubricants · Parts and accessories for vehicles and their engines · Specialised chemical products · Tools · Work gloves

How South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust buys Specialised chemical products (CPV 2495) — and who usually turns up

South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust’s own published record, next to the Greater London market for the same work. This notice is a framework or DPS, so only frameworks and DPS are compared. Whole-market view: Specialised chemical products (CPV 2495)

1

How the contest usually goes

Left: this authority. Right: the market where the work is delivered. Bids and award-vs-estimate pairs are per lot, from contested frameworks and DPS only — direct awards (including PA 2023 transparency notices) report one bid by definition and are left out. On Procurement Act 2023 notices the count is the tenders assessed at the final stage, not every submission received; pairs compare like with like (VAT-exclusive, or VAT-inclusive on both sides). Empty means nothing was published, not filled in from elsewhere.

Matched by the nightly worker on class wins, buyer history, delivery geography, scale and notice text; relevance is a 0–100% heuristic score, not a probability of bidding. “Their award vs estimate” is that supplier’s median on its own comparable single-supplier wins, CPV 2495 first. Nobody here is known to be bidding.

Coverage and what to read with care
  • Each tile explains itself. The on a figure says what it is, how it is counted and which scope this notice’s own record came from (class, division, all categories, or the authority’s 24-month row). The two columns are never blended and nothing is filled from a UK-wide figure; an empty tile means the source published nothing usable. Long form: Methodology.
  • Coverage. Roughly 40 % of notices publish a bid count; about half publish an ITL1 delivery location, so the market column reads the authority’s registered region when the notice has none (labelled). About 30 % of award-vs-estimate pairs are exact matches — the buyer published the award at the estimate. n is on every figure; a thin sample is muted, never hidden.
  • “Match” and “relevance” are model scores from the nightly matcher, not published facts. Find a Tender does not publish who is bidding. Never shown: contact details, payment behaviour, or a recommended price.
