Published justification

Weiss is an established supplier of environmental growth chambers to Forest Research's Alice Holt Research Station, including a growth chamber of similar specification and several smaller units already in operation. Procuring these two additional growth chambers from Weiss will ensure compatibility with existing infrastructure and also allow the equipment to be incorporated into the current service and maintenance contract. This will deliver efficiencies and cost savings by reducing the need for separate service agreements and additional on-site visits from multiple suppliers.
