Single Suppliers Intellectual Property Exclusive Rights
Published justification

Viking Arms Ltd holds the exclusive UK distribution rights for the supply of Glock firearms to UK police forces. Consequently, due to these exclusive rights, Viking Arms Ltd is the only supplier able to supply the specified Glock firearms required by the Contracting Authority.

There are no reasonable alternative suppliers able to provide the specified requirement. A competitive procurement would therefore not provide an alternative source of supply for these goods. The Contracting Authority considers that the conditions for direct award under section 41 and Schedule 5, paragraph 5 of the Procurement Act 2023 are met.
