What is being bought
Published requirement descriptionA Framework for School to Pool Transport is being created by Sheffield City Council (the Authority) being a Contracting Authority as defined by section 2 of the Procurement Act 2023. The Framework will be for the transportation of school children to swimming pools and back, via coach, in order that the schools may comply with the National Curriculum.
In the summary section of this notice, it is stated that 37 tenders were received and evaluated, and that 3 suppliers have been awarded contracts and 34 turned down. This is due to the number of Lots and associated Contracts. The actual number of tenders received was 4. Published description of the framework
- Suppliers are invited to bid for multiple Contract Lots in accordance with Section 20 (7) Competitive Tendering Procedure, as set out in the Procurement Act 2023. 2. Full Scheduled Lots (1-4): 2.1 A maximum of one supplier may be awarded a place on these Lots (single supplier Lots) 2.2 Suppliers may be awarded: A maximum of ONE (1) Lot IF awarded Lot 2. A maximum of TWO (2) Lots IF awarded any combination of Lots 1, 3 or 4. 2.3 Suppliers must detail which Lots they wish to be considered for and their order of priority where they cannot be awarded all of the Contract Lots. 3. Ad-hoc work (Lot 5a-5i): 3.1 Suppliers may be awarded a ranked place on ANY of Lots 5a-5i for which they have applied. 3.1 Suppliers will be accepted on these Lots (and ranked) in accordance with Section 20 (7) Competitive Tendering Procedure 3.2 Ad-hoc work is not guaranteed, and suppliers will only be contacted (in order of highest to lowest ranking) should any ad-hoc work arise under these Lots.
