"description": "NHS Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland Integrated Care Board intends to commission a Same Day Access service in Primary Care, delivered by General Practitioners (GPs), to provide timely, face-to-face clinical care for patients presenting with urgent needs. \nThe service will operate during weekday evenings and weekends, and will be accessible via referrals from NHS 111, Clinical Navigation Hub, Emergency Departments, and General Practice.\nThe service is designed to manage a wide range of same-day clinical presentations, including childhood illness, infections, and other conditions suitable for ambulatory care. \nIt aims to complete episodes of care wherever possible, reducing unnecessary onward referrals and supporting continuity for patients with complex or multimorbid conditions.\nThis will be a newly redesigned service delivered as a 12-month initial phase commencing from April 2026 associated with the evolving local strategy for neighbourhood care. This enables evaluation of the model's effectiveness in improving access, integration, and patient outcomes across the local health system.\nNHS Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland Integrated Care Board is intending to commission the service by awarding four (4) contracts. The lots will be according to geographical areas as per below, at specified locations within each area, with the following values:\nLOT 1: indicative value is £1,029,120 (Area of East Leicestershire)\nLOT 2: indicative value is £225,792 (Area of North -West Leicestershire)\nLOT 3: indicative value is £225,792 (Area of Hinckley & Bosworth)\nLOT 4: indicative value £225,792 (Area of Charnwood)"
