What is being bought

We are looking to engage with suppliers of public address and voice alarm systems to help inform how we procure a replacement to our existing system at V&A South Kensington which has been in place since 2008 and is nearing end of life. We want to hear from OEMs of these systems, as well as those that install and maintain them. We are inviting potential suppliers to tell us their views by completing a short survey. The purpose of this survey is to support our understanding of current market capability, supplier availability and potential delivery approaches, and to obtain insight into how identified project risks may be mitigated should we go out to tender. Comparable-procurement analytics

Benchmarked against retained Find a Tender procedures with CPV division 31. The category anchor is Fire-detection systems (31625100); this is a deliberately broad market comparator. The comparison is shown at several levels rather than pretending one company or region is always the best benchmark.

“Reported bids” is an official aggregate, sometimes reported per lot; it is the closest available competition measure. “Named award suppliers” are winners, not all applicants.

Price-outcome signal

Not enough comparable procedures currently publish both a GBP tender value and a usable lowest-valid-bid value to calculate a responsible price-reduction benchmark. Tenderline deliberately does not infer a saving from named award suppliers or from missing award values.
