What is being bought
The Derbyshire Police and Crime Commissioner intend to procure an online safety digital resilience programme to primary schools across Derbyshire and Derby City. This programme will provide key workers and professionals across the community with essential training and support, enabling staff working with children to understand and identify the risks, as well as training and guidance on how to respond when issues do arise. To embed online safety education and digital resilience across schools and community settings • Deliver online safety programmes in schools. • Provide professional training for staff and safeguarding leads. • Offer interactive workshops for pupils and SEND learners. • Distribute resources and guidance to schools and families. This would need to include a response to key areas of concern in keeping young people safe online. • Whole school approach (students, teachers, parents, wider community – police and other professionals) • Consistent approach to online safety training and the provision of relevant key messages • Young people led – gives them a voice • Knowledge and consideration of the Online Safety Act. Impact on online safety awareness Metrics to include: • Number of schools engaged • Number of pupils trained • Feedback from staff and pupils Reporting: Termly updates to PCC and partners. If the business case is approved, a compliant procurement route will be taken at the point of purchase.
