What is being bought
NHS Shared Business Services Limited (NHS SBS) act in an Agency capacity for and on behalf of its customers (Approved Organisations) - existing and new. These comprise of NHS and Social Care organisations (whether acting individually, or on behalf of, or together as members of any consortia) along with any other public or private sector bodies which NHS SBS authorises to use the resulting Framework. NHS SBS intends to put in place a Framework Agreement under the Procurement Act 2023 for the provision of IoT and Smart Connected Healthcare Environments and related Goods and Services for Healthcare and wider public sector to be used by NHS SBS Approved Organisations. Our Approved Organisation list can be found on: https://sbs.nhs.uk/proc-framework-agreements-support We are committed to working with suppliers who are dedicated to Sustainability and Social Value and there will be a significant weighting on these elements in the tender.

Lot 1 might be suitable for suppliers who provide hardware for equipment related to smart connected environments. Additional information: We intend to procure smart technology products and services, including but not limited to • Smart buildings, water and waste management, crime prevention, education, smart street lighting, air and noise pollution monitoring. • Design, survey, build, management, support and maintenance services • IoT as managed services • Vendor agnostic solution design • "Edge" sensor technologies, connectivity, data analytics platforms and visualisation applications • Infrastructure monitoring, preventative maintenance, and break-fix activities related to above technologies. • Data security and 3rd party integration into overall solution designs • Image recognition applications, alarms and security monitoring, CCTV as a service • Data management, visualisation and analytics software and systems. With options of creating digital twin for the physical environments. • Smart technology consulting services Lots will be defined as an outcome of this initial market engagement PIN.
