What is being bought
Thames Valley Police are seeking tenders for the procurement of handheld scanners, label printers and consumables which can be used as a standalone device which can upload information onto Pronto, GEMS, and Niche when automatically connected via WIFI or Mobile network. The labels need to be able to withstand extremes of temperature and stay sticky for decades.

Scanners – to be able to be used remotely when not in areas with WIFI or mobile data. Be able to automatically upgrade database once connected to laptop (if applicable). RFID readers built in and rechargeable where possible but not essential. Printers – Label printers with the option to also wall mount if necessary. Ability to print RFID adhesive labels where possible but not essential. Consumables – labels to be able to withstand extreme temperatures varying from -30℃ to 50℃, need to be extra strong adhesive, no fading to occur on labels as some labels will be put into storage for vast periods of time. We anticipate to run an open procurement process depending on the responses received from this PIN. Bidders maybe asked to participate in an engagement exercise.
