Coverage: 284 active published awards; 282 bid reports (which may be per lot). Supplier values exclude multi-supplier awards, frameworks and DPS, and use GBP only. They are published award values, not payments. Published-to-award variance compares single-lot, single-award, single-supplier GBP procedures with explicitly non-framework/non-DPS status; increases remain in the average. Unpublished data stays unknown. Awarded suppliers are winners, not all bidders.

What is being bought
As part of its net zero targets, Essex County Council (ECC) is keen to explore opportunities to increase local renewable energy generation through collective purchasing of solar PV panels. This will provide a significant benefit to residents and local businesses by providing an easy, good-value route to high quality solar PV installations.
The aim of this early market engagement exercise is to determine whether there is a market to run collective solar PV purchasing schemes to help residents and small businesses to purchase high quality PV panels and battery storage (As an additional option) at an affordable price and from trusted suppliers. In addition, we hope this will also help us know new entrants to the market as well as engagement with organisations that are willing to provide the service to Essex County.
*Please note this is a soft market engagement activity and not a tender opportunity*
