Fire Scene Investigation Training

Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Authority are publishing this Preliminary Market Engagement Notice to notify suppliers that Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Authority on behalf of ourselves, South Wales Fire and Rescue Service and North Wales Fire and Rescue Service are looking to set up a framework for Fire Scene Investigation Training. The successful bidder will provide Fire Scene Investigation Training to enable staff from the three Welsh Fire and Rescue Services to be considered as Tier 2 Fire Scene Investigators in line with the NFCC Competency Framework and to competently conduct investigations commensurate with this role. The successful bidder will provide training and assessment facilities that will enable Welsh FRS delegates to attain the Skills for Justice (SFJ) Awards - Level 5 Certificate in Fire Investigation in line with the provisions of the SFJ Qualification Handbook and the NFCC Competency Framework for Fire Investigation 2nd Edition. A detailed specification of requirements will be provided to suppliers within the tender documentation, which will be advertised in October 2026.
