Coverage: 859 active published awards; 13 bid reports (which may be per lot). Supplier values exclude multi-supplier awards, frameworks and DPS, and use GBP only. They are published award values, not payments. Published-to-award variance compares single-lot, single-award, single-supplier GBP procedures with explicitly non-framework/non-DPS status; increases remain in the average. Unpublished data stays unknown. Awarded suppliers are winners, not all bidders.

What is being bought
NHS England is seeking to understand market interest, capacity, and capability to deliver a range of clinical and regulatory capabilities to support the development, and assist with assurance, of digital products and services. This early market engagement includes identifying potential enablers and barriers to successful delivery. NHS England may subsequently commission a programme of work to scope and procure these services.
The digital clinical and regulatory capabilities being sought include:
• Clinical Safety Assurance of Digital Products
• Clinical Safety Engineering
• Medical Device Services
• Clinical Content Authoring
• Clinical Subject Matter Experts.
Crucially, the programme will design a future feedback model that is accessible, inclusive, and reflective of the full diversity of patient health journeys. It will align with strategic enablers such as the NHS App and Federated Data Platform (FDP), and support implementation of the commitments set out in the NHS 10YHP.
To take part in this engagement exercise NHS England would welcome input from potential suppliers via a Request for Information (RFI) document which can be found in the Documents section on the Atamis portal - https://health-family.force.com/s/Welcome reference C416329.
In addition, a market engagement event will be held at 10:30 on Wednesday 28 January 2026. Details of how to register for the event can be found on page 1 of the RFI document.
