Delivery of the Overseas Registration Examination (ORE) Part 2 examinations

The GDC is required to provide a statutory examination for overseas dentists who wish to pursue registration with the GDC. In this context, overseas dentists are all qualified dentists that are not eligible for registration via any other application route.

Suitable venues to hold examinations within the UK, suitable to accommodate up to c. 800 candidates per year

Working with the GDC to ensure the examinations a delivered effectively and in accordance with the examination blueprint and Preparing for Practice and the ORE Advisory Group to ensure the relevant standard is maintained and the continuous improvement of the examination Additional information: This procurement is for a service covered by Schedule 3 of the Public Contract Regulation 2015 (the “Light Touch Regime”).

The contract is expected to be for initial 3 years with an optional for the contract to be extended by a further 2 years.

The purpose of this PIN is to inform the market of the forthcoming opportunity
