Coverage: 3 active published awards; 3 bid reports (which may be per lot). Supplier values exclude multi-supplier awards, frameworks and DPS, and use GBP only. They are published award values, not payments. Published-to-award variance compares single-lot, single-award, single-supplier GBP procedures with explicitly non-framework/non-DPS status; increases remain in the average. Unpublished data stays unknown. Awarded suppliers are winners, not all bidders.

What is being bought
Welland Procurement would like to hear from suppliers who currently deliver on contracts for household and commercial waste, recycling and green waste bins, with local authorities, and suppliers who will be looking to produce the new food waste caddies and bins for households in line with the government (DEFRA) announcement.
Welland Procurement is open to how this new provision could be delivered as well as the current provisions which will need to also be available.
Welland Procurement are aiming to use this soft market testing exercise to inform a potential future creation of a framework, designed to meet local authority requirements within the East MIdlands for the following:
New Food Waste Collection Service – one off order
Ongoing supply of waste containers
Delivery of containers
The soft market testing exercise is intended to allow interested organisations with appropriate experience to outline their views and ideas about the future provision of the above.
Welland Procurement will consider the responses received because of this exercise to help inform the options appraisal and the decision-making process.
Interested suppliers are encouraged to search the ProContract e-procurement portal for this soft market testing opportunity under DN716875 and submit a response to the questions. The deadline for responses is 12pm Friday 19th April 2024.
