    PIN: Catering Concession for Cardiff International White Water Café - ERFX1007371 Cardiff International White Water (CIWW) is a World Class Adventure Activities Centre based in the heart of Cardiff. It receives over 55,000 visitors per year, taking part in white water rafting, indoor surfing, air trail and canoe and kayaking. Clients range from young children, stag and hen groups to corporate clients. Cardiff Council are seeking is seeking expressions of interest from suitably qualified and experienced caterers wishing to tender for the provision of a catering facility. A staffed cafeteria is required to meet the catering needs of staff and its 55,000 visitors. The successful applicant would also be expected to offer light refreshments or more throughout the working day and weekends. The provider would also be expected to provide catering for special functions that CIWW may hold throughout the year. CIWW will provide the seating area for customers of the café / bar and provide an area for the preparation and supply of sustenance. We have some catering equipment installed and any additional equipment installed will be at the cost of the contractor. The contractor will be responsible for the following: -Be responsible for managing, maintaining and servicing of all the catering equipment in line with industry guidelines. -The provider will be expected to supply all of the produce, supply and install any additional catering equipment, staff and their associated training. -Responsible for utility bill. -Operate the service in line with all industry guidelines including a HACCP that covers all aspects of the operation -The contractor will be responsible for any damage and repairs to equipment. -Will be required to work alongside Cardiff Council staff at the site. -Responsible for the provision of table and chairs. The Council invites the market place to inform the Authorities' procurement process and to this end would welcome any written submissions (not exceeding 1 side of A4 paper) from potential suppliers indicating: (i) Their likely interest in bidding for such procurement (ii) Potential technical and commercial options (include marketing / menus / and other opportunities) (iii) Proposed length of any contract (iv) Consideration towards offering a fixed concession fee over a 12 month period as opposed to profit sharing. (v) The commercial proposal should include potential costs for running the operation and expected income the authority could expect (vi) Any other factors considered relevant. This Prior Information Notice serves to alert the marketplace to this opportunity and the Council invites interested prospective contractors to lodge an initial expression of interest as well submitting a short proposal of this opportunity electronically via proactis.
