What is being bought
Published requirement descriptionNewport City Council wishes to engage a suitably experienced contractor to provide services in relation to the enforcement action against the illegal tobacco trade in Wales. The contractor will be required to review intelligence, liaise with local Trading Standards Teams, identify target premises, visit the premises to purchase suspect items, engage a search dog specialist and inspect the premises alongside authorised officers from the local Trading Standards team. The contract will be for an initial period of 18 months with an option to extend for a further 12 months. The contract with commence from 1st October 2022.
