Coverage: 168 active published awards; 22 bid reports (which may be per lot). Supplier values exclude multi-supplier awards, frameworks and DPS, and use GBP only. They are published award values, not payments. Price reduction compares single-lot, single-award, single-supplier GBP procedures with explicitly non-framework/non-DPS status; increases remain in the average. Unpublished data stays unknown. Awarded suppliers are winners, not all bidders.

Procedure rationaleIn 2024 the Welsh waste regulator (Natural Resources Wales) raised queries about the recycling performance of the incumbent re-processor, and we have subsequently been advised that the encumbent are sending material to non-compliant destinations. While the incumbent are seeking to alter their processes, it is likely that these will low performing. Furthermore, the incumbent are currently limiting their level of service which has resulted in a back log of wood at the Baling Plant transfer station. This back log of material presents a serious fire risk and will also result in a breach of the site’s Environmental Permit should the back log not be cleared. |
