What is being bought

Published requirement description

This is an award notice for a framework agreement for the supply of electricity on a flexible basis and the provision of associated services to the customers of West Mercia Energy (WME) in its constituent authorities’ areas of Shropshire, Herefordshire, Telford & Wrekin and Worcestershire together with other customers of West Mercia Energy (current and potential) as identified in the Instructions for Tendering document. The framework agreement is with one Contractor and will commence on 7th August 2023 for a period up to 31 March 2028, allowing for forward purchasing for the supply period, with the period of supply commencing 1st April 2024.

5 yrs 3 mo from 1 Jan 2023, This Framework Agreement requires electricity to be purchased in advance of the actual supply date in order to deliver a competitive price hedged over a 15 month period prior to usage. The Supply Period for electricity purchased through this Framework Agreement will be 4 years, with supply start date being 1ST April 2024 and supply end date of 31st March 2028
