Payment obligations depend on the applicable regime and contract. Consult the official documents.
Coverage: 10 active published awards; 6 bid reports (which may be per lot). Supplier values exclude multi-supplier awards, frameworks and DPS, and use GBP only. They are published award values, not payments. Published-to-award variance compares single-lot, single-award, single-supplier GBP procedures with explicitly non-framework/non-DPS status; increases remain in the average. Unpublished data stays unknown. Awarded suppliers are winners, not all bidders.

What is being bought
Digital Health and Care Wales (DHCW) has executed an Agreement to continue the use of UK Gov Notify – the government’s messaging platform. The platform has been developed by Central Government for use by all parts of the public sector to deliver urgent messages/texts. It has been a vital platform in in managing the messages for the Covid vaccination from each Health Board in Wales to its patients since December 2020. Given that the vaccination and booster programmes are still ongoing and likely to continue for as a minimum the next twelve (12) months, it was essential that continued contract coverage was in place.

Procedure rationaleGiven the criticality to provide continued access to a proven COVID Vaccine IT System, DHCW executed another agreement with UK Gov Notify by October 2022. Since December 2020, the system has enabled transactional communications (letters, emails and text messages) to be sent in large numbers, as required to support the Vaccination programme.
