In addition to improving vehicle positioning, Network Rail Infrastructure Limited is also seeking to enhance the accuracy of track defect location data, enabling rail testers to navigate directly to the precise location of identified defects.

infrastructure for some time now.
In light of the Infrastructure Monitoring Core Service tender (end to end
Infrastructure Monitoring (IM) solution to replace life expired dedicated
IM fleet), a decision has been taken to continue with existing
infrastructure monitoring technologies for the current IM fleet.
