Published description of the framework

A completed pricing appendix for a basket of good was required as part of suppliers submission and was evaluated using the CIPFA % difference model.

This pricing is to be held for an initial period from 1st May 2026 (the commencement date of this contract) which varies depending on individual tender submission. After this initial period, any amendments to price must be agreed with YPO in writing at least 45 days before any proposal.

Lots and requirements (4)Procurement structure

4 lots · all with a published value · same conditions of participation on every lot · same evaluation weights on every lot

Every one of these 4 lots carries the same published figure, £900,000: it is the framework's maximum for the whole notice, not each lot's own budget, and no share per lot is published. The cards below say ceiling above rather than repeat it.

What this means for your bid
  • Price carries 50 of 100 points: a 10% discount moves about 5 points. This one is won on the number: sharpen the price before polishing the prose.
  • “YPO 001296 The Supply of Batteries” is a framework: the contest is a place on its panel, not a single contract, and call-offs are awarded directly: getting appointed is the whole game.

Price arithmetic assumes straight proportional scoring; the tender pack may use another formula.

YPO are looking to start pre market engagement for the provision of batteries to be stocked in the YPO warehouse in Wakefield (WF2 0XE) for delivery to our customer base. All items will be stocked in YPOs warehouse and there will be no direct delivered to customer items.

YPO are looking to learn more about the specification of batteries.

YPO are looking to find the standard product ranges available in the market to allow us to build the product specifications for each proposed lot, for example pack sizes sold into the education market.

YPO require providers that can offer full ranges of product to meet the needs of the customer base from early years through to secondary and higher education and also our non-education customers.

If you are interested in this opportunity please email [email protected] for more information.

YPO reserves the right to not commit to advertising this tender if we do so wish. Should YPO wish to proceed further a formal procurement process will be followed in accordance with YPO's contract procedure rules and in line with the Procurement Act 2023 as relevant. Please note that any information is being sought without prejudice and without commitment.
