What is being bought
Buckinghamshire Council seeks tenders from suitably qualified and experienced organisations for the provision of Block Residential, Nursing and Extra Care Services for Adults in Hazlemere Lodge and St James Court Extra Care Setting.
Hazlemere Lodge is a 64-bedroom residential care home located in Hazlemere, near High Wycombe. St James Court, a 12-unit Extra Care setting is adjoined to the Care home. The Council has 32 Elderly Nursing and 16 Residential block beds in Hazlemere Lodge and all 12 units of Extra Care. The remaining 16 beds in Hazlemere Lodge are available for self-funders.
There will be a lease between the Registered Landlord and the successful Provider.
Providers who wish to provide the services must be registered with the Care Quality Commission. Providers must have a good track record of delivery and have the most recent CQC rating of Good or outstanding for at least 50% of their registered service portfolio for Care homes and Extra Care.
The contract will be for three years with the option to extend for a further 2 year period.
The Council is of the opinion that TUPE may apply.
