This framework Market Survey concerns the supply of complete normal conducting iron-dominated electro-magnets as well as components like yokes and coils for various magnet types for the existing and future CERN accelerator complex. The air or water-cooled magnets will be made of solid or laminated steel yokes, and of coils wound from solid or hollow copper conductor. They will have a mass ranging from a few kilograms up to several tens of tons.

The estimated value of the activity is 750k – 5M CHF

to Tender, which may include:

Preparation of a magnetic and/or mechanical design;
Engineering design and preparation of a complete manufacturing file containing calculations,

production drawings, procedures, sub-contractors and the quality assurance plan;

Procurement of all raw materials and sub-components (except those which are supplied by CERN);

Coil winding;
Lamination stamping;
Impregnation;
