Supply of HEPA Filters — UK Public Procurement Procedure

Prior to the publication of the forthcoming HEPA Filters Tender, Sellafield Ltd is reviewing the initially proposed procurement strategy and the market feedback received during earlier market engagement activities. This review is being undertaken to ensure that the procurement approach taken is appropriate for both the supply market and The NDA Group Operating Companies. As part of this process, Sellafield Ltd is seeking to re-engage with the market to validate and further understand supplier views on specific elements of the proposed strategy. In particular, feedback is invited on the following areas: 1. Contracting Strategy Supplier views are requested on the suitability and viability of a dual source contracting model (i.e. the appointment of two suppliers) for the scope of HEPA Filters. 2. Proposed Lotting Structure Supplier feedback is requested on the following indicative lotting structure, should a two supplier model be adopted: Lot 1 – Smaller Basket, comprising: • Mini Pleat HEPA Filters. Unmodified. Type I & II • Large Circular Filters (Internal and External Seal) stainless steel case. • Large Circular Filters (Internal Seal) PU case. • In line canister filters (flanged) • Push through filters (stainless steel case) Lot 2 – Larger Basket, comprising: • Deep pleat HEPA Filters (with and without features) • Mini-pleat filters modified with lifting features & attachments • Large Circular HEPA filters (Internal and external Seal) mild steel casing. • In line Canister HEPA Filters (screwed) • Push through filters (mild steel and PU case) • Specialist HEPA Filters & accessories • Small HEPA Filters Responses to this market engagement will help inform Sellafield Ltd’s ongoing strategy development.
