Coverage: 343 active published awards; 32 bid reports (which may be per lot). Supplier values exclude multi-supplier awards, frameworks and DPS, and use GBP only. They are published award values, not payments. Published-to-award variance compares single-lot, single-award, single-supplier GBP procedures with explicitly non-framework/non-DPS status; increases remain in the average. Unpublished data stays unknown. Awarded suppliers are winners, not all bidders.

Planning and rationale

Procedure rationaleThe contracting authority intends to award a contract for the supply, installation and maintenance of TRANE make chiller systems. Confidence Trade Ltd (CTL) has been identified as the sole authorised dealer in Dhaka (Bangladesh) for TRANE equipment and is therefore the only supplier able to provide the required goods in accordance with the manufacturer’s standards. As TRANE systems are already in use at the site, procuring from the authorised dealer ensures compatibility with existing infrastructure and continued access to genuine parts, valid warranties, and compliant maintenance services. Market research found no alternative suppliers able to meet these requirements. The authority is therefore proceeding with a direct award in line with the relevant provisions of the Procurement Act 2023 (PA23).
