What is being bought
Telensa is the single supplier/provider of smart street lighting control systems used by the authority to manage streetlights more efficiently. Telensa provides wireless lighting controllers that connect streetlights to a central management system. This allows Warwickshire County Council Street Lightings to: • Remotely monitor each streetlight in real time • Dim or brighten lights based on schedules or conditions, allowing energy savings • Controls WCC part-night lighting, allowing energy savings • Detect faults automatically, reducing maintenance costs • Reduce energy usage and carbon emissions through optimized lighting The Telensa system requires ongoing support and maintenance for its software, communications links, and equipment. The maintenance and support can only be carried out by Telensa and therefore this contract for support and maintenance of the Telensa system has been made via a direct award on the grounds of a single supplier for technical reasons.
