Coverage: 0 active published awards; 0 bid reports (which may be per lot). Supplier values exclude multi-supplier awards, frameworks and DPS, and use GBP only. They are published award values, not payments. Published-to-award variance compares single-lot, single-award, single-supplier GBP procedures with explicitly non-framework/non-DPS status; increases remain in the average. Unpublished data stays unknown. Awarded suppliers are winners, not all bidders.

NOTE - This notice is for a market engagement event only.
NHS Arden and Greater East Midlands CSU, on behalf of NHS Birmingham and Solihull CCG are keen to canvas the views of suitably qualified and experienced providers of wheelchair services in order to understand the market's views in terms of the proposed service specification coupled with the anticipated activity and funding envelope. As such, the CCG is providing a number of documents with regard to the proposed service including the service specification and current activity. In order to assist the CCG with their preparations, providers are asked to complete a short questionnaire when registering their interest. The event will be held virtually on 15th June 2021 between 9am and 10.30am. There will then be an opportunity for providers to have one-to-one sessions with the Commissioners if they wish.

- Lot 1 · #1Individual lot title not publishedplannedPublished valueNot publishedWithin Birmingham and Solihull CCG there are currently two wheelchair services in operation, the Birmingham Wheelchair Service (BWS) and the Solihull WHeelchair Service (SWS). Birmingham and Solihull CCG intend to re-procure the Solihull Wheelchair Service as the current provider has handed in their notice. A replacement service therefore needs to be in place and fully operational before April 2022. In 2019/20, Solihull Wheelchair Service records indicated 5200 registered service users. There were around 709 new referrals and 363 re-referrals per annum. As of 26th May 2021, there were 241 open episodes of care. The service is currently provided from the Better Living Centre, service users' homes or school, hospice or hospital settings. It is anticipated that the Better Living Centre will not be available to the newly appointed provider, so new premises will need to be sought for the service going forward. Additional information: This is a market engagement exercise only and does not commit the Commissioners to carry out a procurement process. Please note that whilst there may be an opportunity to comment on various aspects of the service, the Commissioners are not obliged to incoporate comments received.Contract periodNot publishedEligibilityNot publishedOptions / renewalNot published
