What is being bought
Published requirement descriptionThe service provides residential care as part of short-term intermediate care rehabilitation packages, known as 'step-down care', for people aged over 30 years, who are transitioning from hospital to their own homes or to more permanent residential care.
This service is for people discharged from Hospital on the NHS discharge to assess pathway 2 which relates to discharges to a community bed-based setting which has dedicated recovery support offering short-term input to help the person recover, enabling people to either live more independently. People discharged from hospital on pathway 2 require rehabilitation and reablement, some require specialist input at Sir John Mason House Intermediate Care Centre.
The service is to be delivered though an integrated approach with health and care partners across North Lincolnshire health and care system in line with the Choice Policy, building on the principles of the national community rehabilitation and reablement model.

This is a Provider Selection Regime (PSR) intention to award notice. The awarding of this contract is subject to the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023. For the avoidance of doubt, the provisions of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 do not apply to this award. The publication of this notice marks the start of the standstill period. Representations by providers must be made to the relevant authority by 23:59hrs 27 March 2024.

The criteria applied to this intention to award was: Basic Selection Criteria - Mandatory and Discretionary - Suitability to pursue activity Key Criteria Quality - 20% Innovation - 10% Value - 20% Integration, collaboration and service sustainability - 30% Improving Access, reducing health inequalities and facilitating choice - 10% Social Value - 10% NHS Humber and North Yorkshire ICB has conducted an assessment of the Provider against the stated Basic Selection Criteria and Key Criteria and considers that the existing provider is satisfying its current existing contract, will likely satisfy the new contract to a sufficient standard, and the proposed contracting arrangements are not changing considerably.
