It is anticipated that tenders would be sought in mid-September for an anticipated contract start date of 1st April 2027, immediately after the end of our current contract providing Discharge to Assess High Dependency RRR Residential service to Leicester and Leicestershire.\nThis market engagement event will give providers an opportunity to gain an early understanding of the proposed model, ask questions, and prepare for participation in the forthcoming tender process.\nWhat is High Dependency Intermediate Care (HD)?\nHigh Dependency Intermediate Care provides a short-term, intensive care and support bedded service in a non-clinical environment (i.e. nursing home) within the Leicester or Leicestershire area. This discharge pathway is for individuals with complex health and social care needs who require a higher level of support than traditional intermediate care services. The service aims to support timely hospital discharge, prevent unnecessary hospital admissions, promote recovery, reablement and rehabilitation, and enable people to regain as much independence as possible within a community setting.\nThe service specific requirements include a minimum of fifteen dedicated High Dependency Intermediate Care beds within a CQC-registered nursing home that is rated Good or Outstanding by the Care Quality Commission at the point of tender submission (anticipated mid-September). It is proposed that these beds are to be block booked for a maximum contract term of 3 years on a 1+1+1 basis. Also included as a proposed requirement is for the location of these beds to be within a Leicester or Leicestershire care home.\nDuring the event we will:\n•\tProvide an overview of the proposed High Dependency Intermediate Care model.\n•\tExplain the cohort of people the service is designed to support and the expected outcomes.\n•\tOutline the service requirements, care expectations, and partnership working arrangements.\n•\tDiscuss the forthcoming procurement process and tender opportunity.\n•\tAnswer questions and gather feedback to help shape the final service model and procurement approach.\nThis event will take place on Tuesday 18th August 2026 and will take place from 11am until 12:30pm. \nWe would welcome your attendance and encourage you to share this invitation with appropriate colleagues within your organisation.\nPlease confirm your attendance by no later than 14:00hrs on Monday 17th August by completing and sending through the Market Engagement Booking Form to procurement-asc@leicester.gov.uk which can be found by accessing the proactis advert- \nhttps://procontract.due-north.com/Advert?advertId=ea41f7be-f096-f111-813c-005056b64545&p=527b4bbd-5c58-e511-80ef-000c29c9ba21\nOnce you have confirmed your attendance, a link to join the session will be shared with the confirmed attendees via their email addresses. \nWe look forward to discussing this opportunity with you.",
